“ The ISS Team are delighted to announce that the Kinvara Slalom Event (Series 6) will be going ahead on the October Bank Holiday weekend Saturday the 29^th and 30^th. Danny Mulryan and Co organised a very successful event last year in Kinvara and it was one we were all looking forward to this year. Unfortunately Danny was unable to commit to fully organising the event but with his assistance the ISS team will be taking it on, along with a few local volunteers. The event will be supported by Rusheen Bay, Cully and Sully, and Pier Head Restaurant and Bar. The Kinvara event last year was one of the best in the history of the series and hopefully this year will be no different – craic, wind and plenty of entertainment. More info to follow so keep an eye out for the poster and more details”

NOTE:

We ask everybody to register on-line, this will speed things up on the day for everybody. The event is being run as a fund raiser for the RNLI, all proceeds will be donated to them after the event. For anybody that registers on the day there will be a €5 surcharge that will go directly to the RNLI. If you want to make this donation please feel free to register on the day.

Sincere thanks are extended from all at the Bantry Hospice to those ISS competitors who came and supported the first round of the Irish Slalom Series in Bantry Bay, over the weekend of the 9th and 10th April 2011.

Between coffee drinking, our Saturday night meal, late entries, competitors giving up the prizes for the charity and anything else we could think of, we raised a total of €1300.  Pearse from bigsurf.ie presented the funds on the 21st April to Pat Murphy from the Bantry hospice.
