This year the Irish Slalom Series will feature a new exciting innovation. GPS technology has become a familair part of many windsurfers lives. Several sailors are regularly using handheld GPS units to record their speeds. In 2010 the ISS is going to take this to the next level.  Using GPS data gathered from each competitor the team will create replays of each race. The replays will be shown during the events evening entertainment and also published to the web for later viewing.

The ISS team have updated the ISS Guidelines document. So for all you need to know to compete in the 2010 ISS please read the 2010 guide available here

The 2010 Irish Slalom Series introductory clinics will take place across the country on Saturday March 6th. All four members of the ISS Team will hold clinics in Cork, Donegal, Dublin and Galway. The clinics will introduce newcomers to everything needed to know to take part in your first ISS event. The clinics was also focus on topics such as race tactics, equipment setup, gybing techniques and general information to help you get the most out of the 2010 Calendar. All levels of Slalom Sailors are welcome to attend.

The final events of the 2010 Irish Slalom Series Calendar have been put in place. Due to the current situation and the big "R" word we have kept the number of events to a minimum. We have also attempted to space the events out as much as possible.

Due to the 2010 budget and current workload of the ISS Team - it is not possible to further seperate the fleets for 2010. It was previously suggested to further sperate the 2010 Gold Fleet. This will not be going ahead. Alot of time is spent by the voluntary team working out results. We do not wish to make anymore work for 2010, until we receive some more support..

The ISS rules and guidelines documents are currently being updated. A full set of 2010 rules will be released soon...
